DAIRY GOAT U
The 2016 edition of Dairy Goat U is set for Saturday, April 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Stone Hollow Farmstead in Harpersville. Youths and interested adults can attend the educational workshop not only to learn about goat health, the scientific principles behind goat milk production and the U.S. dairy goat industry but also to get hands-on experience in as herd management.
Dairy U, an educational, hands-on workshop for youth, will take place Saturday, April 23, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Stanley P. Wilson Beef Teaching Unit on Auburn’s campus. Sponsored by the Auburn University College of Agriculture, Alabama Cooperative Extension System and Alabama 4-H, Dairy U offers youth the opportunity to learn about the dairy industry, where the milk they drink comes from and how it is produced in a wholesome and healthy way.
