LIFE AFTER GRADUATION:
Life after graduation has kind of been a whirlwind. It often seems like it was just yesterday that I was in the Comer computer lab shooting the breeze with all my friends, but at the same time it seems like I’ve been out of school for five years. The days fly by on the farm as I juggle day-to-day jobs and work toward future goals that I have for the farm. It takes a little getting used to, not having your closest friends within a five-mile radius, but thanks to social media and smartphones, keeping in touch is much easier than it used to be. I thought that with graduation my time studying had ended; however, I still find myself up late at night pouring over crop production guides with a cup of coffee. Despite everything I learned at Auburn, I’ve found that nothing can fully prepare you for everything you need to know to be a farmer.
FAVORITE AUBURN MEMORY:
What’s my favorite Auburn memory? Oh gosh, there are many to choose from. Do I go with my time in the student section during our 2010 National Championship run? Or is it the time that Sarah Stephenson got thrown in the pond at Ag Heritage Park? Or was it the many countless nights Brady Peek and I played ping pong in the Poultry Science Building? Maybe it was the time I got on the roof of the Poultry Science Building and Comer Hall and Upchurch and a few others. I guess if I had to pick a favorite though, it would have to be the many lifelong friends I made on Ag Hill.
