Equine Center Facilities
The Auburn University Equestrian Center is home to the equine teaching, research and extension programs of the Department of Animal Sciences as well as the six-time NCEA national championship equestrian team and an IHSA Club team. Housing 55-65 horses, the center is a spacious 60-acre facility conveniently located on the edge of the university campus and across from the College of Veterinarian Medicine, making it easily accessible for students.
The Equestrian Center features the Williams Family Barn, a new climate-controlled show barn with 20 stalls, two tack rooms, a laboratory, veterinarian and farrier areas, a feed room, wash racks and grooming areas. The Martin Barn offers an additional 16 stalls with adjacent tack rooms, feed room and laboratory.
The facility has four riding arenas and a teaching arena, including the Carroll Arena, for jumping, the covered arena, flat arena and schooling arena. In addition, the property offers 15 spacious pastures with centaur fencing and run-in shelters, a six-horse covered walker, 15 wash racks, 50 outdoor crosstie areas, individual turnout areas, isolation areas, offices and a team support building.
